JUST IN: Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announces the creation of the United States-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund.
“Thanks to President Trump’s tireless efforts to secure a lasting peace, I am glad to announce the signing of today’s historic economic partnership agreement between the United States and Ukraine establishing the United States-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund."
"As the President has said, the United States is committed to helping facilitate the end of this cruel and senseless war."
"This agreement signals clearly to Russia that the Trump Administration is committed to a peace process centered on a free, sovereign, and prosperous Ukraine over the long term."
"President Trump envisioned this partnership between the American people and the Ukrainian people to show both sides’ commitment to lasting peace and prosperity in Ukraine."
"No state or person who financed or supplied the Russian war machine will be allowed to benefit from the reconstruction of Ukraine.”

Sounds more like US will have access to Ukraine’s rare earth minerals?
Less reliance on China the better. Also doesn’t say crap about Ukraine joining Nato which is a good thing

You’re kind of burying the lead there.
The point is that THEY will be paying for their reconstruction by partnering with us to mine their various assets once peace is established.
WE will get paid back for our investment there via the same means.
To be against such a deal is actually the economic net negative position.

The only reason to object to this deal is if you would rather see the US walk away from hundreds of billions of dollars just so Donald J Trump doesn’t get a win.
There is no rational argument against it from an American standpoint.

Well I sure didn’t expect to be googling lede vs lead but given their explanation here it would appear yours is the proper spelling given the context.
For the ignorant such as myself here is what they said:
“A lede is the introductory section in journalism and thus to bury the lede refers to hiding the most important and relevant pieces of a story within other distracting information.”
In other words although you see “lead” improperly used in this context by people in the media I’m going to take the unprecedented tigerdroppings step of acknowledging that I took the L on this one haha.
Marriam-Webster: lead vs lede

Is this a shot at Germany and other nations that have been buying Russian energy during the war?

Nation building ninny's. But I guess there is nothing remaining to do but rebuild.
The Russians in East Ukraine have always lived every day in peace with Ukrainians. Russian Orthodox, Ukrainian Orthodox..
May as well give Victoria Nuland a Luciferian center if what they had before we stuck our nose in it, is not 100% respected.
I am not for this being a central neocon base of control with puppet leaders.
HEY TEACHER LEAVE THEM KIDS ALONE!
