Is it possible the Browns signed Sanders just to sell Jerseys?

We all know the black community will buy the hell out of his jerseys, especially now.

There’s 0 percent chance they are considering starting him unless he just wows them at practices.

They wanted Gabriel. He was clearly their guy.

First of all, Sanders isn't moving jerseys. Second, the whole moving jerseys for profit thing that gets repeated on message boards is pretty dumb. A single players jersey selling in a shop is a miniscule drop in the bucket compared to the television deals teams have with the NFL.

Which is the point of drafting him with a 5th round pick. If he's the best QB in camp he will start. If not, you wasted the total of...... one 5th round pick. You guys are killing yourselves with mental gymnastics involving Sanders.

The NFL picked a team to stave off possible collusion claims. The Browns fit the bill and already had a plentiful draft.

I think the owner got involved and ordered the Sanders pick. It’s publicity. And I’m sure there will be jersey sales.

Buying a Shadeur Browns jersey seems like a dumb idea when he might not even make the team.

Hes the 4th qb on the roster and that isnt counting deshaun watson

No

quote:

In the NFL, players receive a portion of the revenue generated from jersey sales through the NFL Player Association (NFLPA). Specifically, players are entitled to two-thirds of the money made from selling jerseys. The remaining one-third goes to the NFLPA, with a portion of that going into a pool for all NFL players.

LOL.. Amazing logic, if he sucks 0% chance he plays, if he WOWS them at practice, then maybe consider playing him ??

Sheduar going start this season… it’s the Browns and Gabriel ain’t better everyone knows this… Browns actually made a good pick waiting until the 5th if they knew no one else was taking him…

LOL at anyone trying to figure out why Cleveland did something. They traded away three 1st rounders, a 3rd round and two 4th round picks for Watson. Granted, he was probably worth a 1st rounder at that point, so you can say they gave up two 1st rounders if you want. Then gave him $230 million guaranteed, in the middle of a couple dozen court cases of sexual assault. Shedeur was worth a 5th round pick, esp for a team with an unsettled QB situation. It's peanuts to them.

They took him because their owner made the coach and gm take him. The owners an idiot. Look at Deshaun Watsons deal if you need proof.

A 5th round draft pick being #3 in jersey sales…people should just mail me the check if they want to throw away money.
