LSU’s Will Campbell and Ashlynn Nussmeier Grab the Spotlight in Green Bay
The Tigers star couple shined under the bright lights of the NFL Draft.

It was an emotional night for LSU star lineman Will Campbell. While joined by many friends and family, he fought back tears following his draft selection, honored his late teammate Kyren Lacy, and won over scores of fans all over the world.
In a pre-draft interview with US Weekly, Will was asked about being in a high profile relationship. Campbell was quick to share just how supportive his girlfriend Ashlynn has been throughout the draft process. He said, “She’s amazing…[Ashlynn] has a football background, so she knows what it takes, the sacrifices that have to be made. If she wasn’t as good with that type of stuff, I’m sure it would be a lot more difficult. But she’s a rock star.”
Ashlynn joyously posted her thoughts about the NFL draft on her Instagram,“My guy is a patriot!!! Couldn't be more proud of you! It's been the sweetest to watch you walk through this process & how the Lord has used you through it all!! The most hard-working, dedicated, and humble leader-you have earned it!! Can't wait to cheer ya on!!!” To which Will responded in the comments, “thanks pook love u [hearts].”
Ashlynn’s brother Garrett Nussmeier is expected to be a top draft pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. He also shared a special moment with Will after the Patriots picked him telling Will how proud of him he is and that the Patriots got a franchise player. To which Will replied, “Next year, I’m going to be sitting here talking to you.”

Until this very moment, I had no knowledge this stud was in a relationship and I had no idea who Ashlynn Nussmeier was.
So, a college football player is dating his teammate’s sister. Mildly interesting, I guess.

They are no longer teammates. The football connection made it obvious that they probably met each other more than once before anything developed. They got to know each other and boom! Love is love.

This saying doesn’t apply. This is for co-workers. The people you’re forced to interact with on a professional basis.
And even then, lots of relationships have started at work. It might be a bad idea, but it’s inevitable and happens all the time.
