I've seen it on multiple menus often served with chimichurri. Back in the day, and before it got popular, the butcher would take it home.

I have found it in a store exactly once, and I had to ask for it.

The guy from La Boca killed it by being an a-hole.

He is certainly that. But you can only get 1 hanger steak per beef. So when it became "popular" it limited availability quickly.

A few restaurants here in Houston have it on the menu

Riel serves a hanger steak that was the best piece of red meat I’ve ever eaten in my life

It’s my favorite dish at Chez Fon Fon in 5 points, downtown Birmingham.

I probably see it at our local Winn Dixie a few times a month. Salt, pepper and a little avocado oil on a hot cast iron griddle on the stove and you’re good to go.

Whole Foods in Lafayette used to carry it back when they first opened before they shrunk to mediocrity. Haven't seen tri tip through there either recently.

LOVE the liver flavor of Hanger.

If you ever find yourself in Washington Parish it’s the one in Franklinton.

I like it when it is cooked properly in a good restaurant. Cafe Degas comes to mind. The reason you don’t see it more often is because there is only one small piece of hangar steak on each cow.

We fix it pretty often, have a local source that always has it. Love the texture and flavor.
