I went with the Hornady Sub Sonic190 gr. Before i stock up wanted to see what the boards experience/recs are.

For plinking or what? For hunting or personal defense, Lehigh. For plinking, whatever I find the best deal on. The Lehigh is expensive as hell though. Unless Cheaper Than Dirt runs another crazy sale, I snagged several cases during that.

Yeah sorry.should have specified. Quietest for hunting. I’ll check out the lehigh

I second Lehigh but check out Gorilla and Nosler too

Lehigh is very expensive. I have about 40 rounds left. I started reloading Hornady subx and can get the cost per round down to like 75 cents. Stocking up on that from now on.

Check out Discreet Ballistics

Cheaper than dirt had the underwood Lehigh 194 gr subsonic for $30 a box during their close out a few months ago. Picked up 20 boxes. I also have another 400 rds I reloaded when Wilson put the bullets on sale. I love that shite. I can kill a hog at 100 yds with it.
It’s insanely expensive. I wouldn’t buy it at the list price.
Midway $73 a box

When I had a 300 BO, it was 200 gr Makers Rex for deer. They’re pricy but will expand and penetrate on big game. If you’re after pigs and head shooting, any subsonic will do.

Not to hijack, but I just ordered a 7.62 can and am going to be reloading .300 blk sub sonic and super sonic for the first time. Hodgdon has a bunch of load data, but does anyone here have any first hand experience loading 300blk?

Gorilla makes some good ammo for 300BO. From 110 grn Barnes to 205grn Pig Punishers.

I use Accurate 1680 with my 194gr subs. Out of a 8” barrel I’m right at 1000 fps. I think I’m at 8.3 grns. I like the accurate for hunting/defense loads because its the most consistent accuracy.
CFE Black is a modified a1680 designed to generate more gas for subs. I use an adj gas block so I don’t need it. It’s kind of a donut all powder for 300BO.

I just recently bought a honeybadger sbr in 300BO.
Any clue what subsonic to shoot in it?

I'm running CFE black and 190 grain bullets. Out of an 8.2" barrel I'm at like 1017 fps with 12.8 grains of powder. Also ran Shooters World Blackout at 12.3 grains but it was DIRTY!
