Aside from some technology that didn't exist like cell phone or internet.

Car Washes
My parents would have laughed at the idea of paying someone else to do this. We grew up doing all this ourselves in our household but I've outsourced a lot of things as I've gotten older. Now that my kids are getting close to the age/older thinking about doing them ourselves and teaching the kids work ethic.

Self storage units
We had a housekeeper once a week growing up but that was cheap 30 years ago. Could get a nice old black lady to do stuff for like $50 a day

ETA: My Dad can't fathom me paying $4 for a coffee in the morning, but wouldn't blink an eye about dropping $25 at a bar on a Friday night back in the 90's.
