I know nothing about this type of thing. Hypothetically, can a next administration come in and take jurisdiction back/revoke this?

Pretty much. Anything done by stroke of executive pen only can be undone by the next guy.

This makes sense. The federal government's only purpose should be our sovereignty and protection. I do not have a problem with this.

As long as this is strictly for border security. If they took personal property for commerce I would think differently. Nobody is going to miss 60'.

But why would Vance do that?

Except for when a judge blocks Trump’s use of his own executive authority to change a previous president’s exercise of executive authority.

“Get some”….

Reminds me of Full Metal Jacket…. I saw where “Rafterman” died in Feb ‘25.

Next admin can just pull resources out of it. Feds don't usually let go of land though.

Isn't this just temporary. Just for three years.

It's 77' walking just from my bed to the washroom in my house. I think 60' will be okay.

And that's why other countries can't trust the USA... Just look at thise Afgan people that trusted the USA and Biden abandoned them to a death by the Taliban.

The problem the next guy will have is that if he decides to reverse this and the illegals come pouring across the border again, people will revolt. We have seen the border under Trump, then Biden, and now Trump again. Despite the MSM's efforts, people know what the score is.

I keep waiting for Trump to initiate a seasonal worker visa program so that we can use legal workers temporarily to harvest crops. If we provide that type of program, there will be no reason for the illegal aliens already here to stay any longer. There would be no reason for ag companies to hire illegal labor.

It's brilliant.

Now the military can directly arrest anyone on that strip just like a trespasser on a military base.

There's not much he can do that can't be undone with Dems in power. But it puts the Dems in the position of trying to sell 'Let's reopen the border' to the public.
