Buc-ee's bbq sammiches are horrible.

Got the sliced brisket one. That was the absolutely fattiest bbq sammich I've ever eaten. I mean some slices were just fat, no meat. The meat slices were filled with fat. Taste and bbq sauce was fine but fat fat fat.

I've never tried anything other than their pulled pork sandwiches, which have always been pretty good considering it's just gas station food.

I've had many of them and never had that problem. Or with their tacos. It's not Aaron Franklin Q but pretty solid for a gas station

At the end of the day, it's still a gas station BBQ sandwich.
If it were a Louisiana based company, it might be better gas station food.

ETA: On topic, I prefer the chopped brisket sandwich. I too have had the occasional fatty piece of sliced brisket from bucees, but it's not like it's tough gristle.

I get the chopped brisket sandwich, and it is as good as gas station mass produced bbq can get. Oh yeah, and a bag of beaver nugs and chocolate covered pecans to bring home.

I've had the brisket sandwich three times, and enjoyed all three. At three different Buc-ee's. Wasn't fatty at all.

But I did get heartburn from hell each time, despite my daily regimen of omeprazole.

Their bfast stuff is decent, as well. And the jerked meat. And the sweet offerings. And it's fast and easy. And the restrooms are clean.

They really aren’t good. The love for Buccees borders on annual Disney travelers level of crazy.

If I’m driving and will pass a buccees? Of course, it’s easily the best option of any gas station.

But it’s a gas station. With good snacks. And I’m not eating bbq from a gas station.
