Thought about Carr injury

Would be rad if teams like Indy and Pitt assume were definitely going to draft a QB at 9 now, so they trade up ahead of us to clear Sanders and Dart. This would cause a top 6 player like DT Graham, OT Campbell or OT Membou to fall to us.
I really don't want us to go QB. Perfect season to try out Rattler and then tank when it doesn't work out.

The solution is a disruption godchaux clone?

IMO the solution is a legit QB1 in next year's (much better) QB draft in which we'll likely have a top 5 pick plus trade ammo.

The solution is never a deliberate no qb season tank

Aaron Donald was drafted in the middle of the first round.
Weird shite happens every year.
I think Graham is going to be there at #9.

I dont see a scenario we are a last place team even if rattler starts 17 games

someone always does and you sit there and can't help but wonder why.

Neither team went into the season trying to tank. They were just that bad and ended up in position to draft accordingly. Hell the colts won 1-2 games in December the year before drafting Luck. And wasn’t Cincy routinely drafting at the top of the draft before Burrow?

I respectfully disagree
in 2019 the Bengals won 2 games and lost 7 by 7 points or fewer, that does not sound like a tank.
Colts kind of looked like a tank but winning two games near the end of the season to tie the Rams for the bottom and get picked one overall on a tiebreaker makes it look less like a tank.

With only two weeks until the draft the teams draft strategy should not change. Regardless of the QB situation. At this point your board is likely set. Trying to adjust to fill an emergency need at QB will be a recipe for disaster mark my words.
If they thought they needed QB it’s already accounted for, if they did not feel like a QB this draft was necessary scrambling to draft one is not going to help this team this year or likely at all.

IMO, less than a handful of QBs in NFL history could make a team great wherever they played. Then there are those really good QBs that were able to click with the offensive system and strategy that made them really good. Then there are good QBs who play bad because they are in a bad system.
I say this because, the saints did not need to draft a great QB with a high pick, they need to find a QB that can excel in the organization and offense to be run. Build the team to succeed without a great QB, and they will be winners.

A no QB season as you say would get us a top 1-3 pick for next year.

Looking at our roster, new coaches and schemes everywhere, Rattler at QB, little good depth anywhere I don't see how anyone could exclude the possibility of ending up in last place.
But it's a crazy world. Like in we are 2-11 in last place and Loomis let's a healthy Carr in for the last four games and we win them all lol

The problem with this comparison is that in April of 2019 no one had Joe Burrow higher than the 3rd-4th round. If they were planning on tanking in 2019 it was for Tua.

That’s a God awful take.

It was a question but it’s a fair take for a team with no qb

Don’t even have to “tank” this is going to a bit of a turnover season anyway. No need to bring in some vet just to win an extra game or two.
