Some are saying’ resigned’, others say forced out (fired). But the bottom line for this Euro trash was too much DEI, not enough sales.
Daily Caller - Harley CEO
Thanks to Robby Starbuck’s deep investigation calling out the Equity & Diversity bs that was being infused with a culture which was founded on freedom & individuality.

In America, business is for making money period. Not feeling good.

Harley is a dying brand anyway. Pretty sure everyone younger than 40 thinks they are extremely lame.

As long as Harley continues to think that they are somehow "the best motorcycles ever" and keep them priced where they are priced, they will never recover.
I ride a Harley, but I am not a Harley purest. Harley is so afraid of an aging group of riders and are not bringing in new riders. Yeah, fit and finish is second to none, but everything else is average or below average and the price point says it isn't. Yeah, they have the cruiser and bagger market somewhat cornered here in the states, but sales show these markets are shrinking. Younger riders want street nakeds for every day. Touring guys are switching to ADV bikes.
Harley has to change with the times or they won't last much longer. They can change CEO's all they want. Just quit caving to an aging demographic that just isn't buying as many bikes as they were and build good quality, more affordable bikes.

If they would have brought the Bronx to market, at a sub-10grand price, those younger riders would have flooded Harley dealerships. Hell, I would have bought one. They caved to purest pressure. Like they always do.

The most efficient machine ever devised for converting gasoline into noise without the byproduct of horsepower.

Most everyone under 40 had our opinion of Harley riders shaped by this episode.

Harley needs to get into sport bikes and UTV, or lose the younger demographic.

They had Buell. They didn't sell, so it went tits up.

I'd say their first mistake was hiring him to begin with.
You've got one of the most recognizable American brand names in history, and you bring in a European wokester to represent and lead it?
Good Lord.

Boy, talk about not knowing your own customer base. Or even worse, simply not giving a damn.

Pictures help (some of us).
Daily Caller picture did not, w/ out identifying.
PS - Starbuck^h^h^h^h --- Jochen Zeitz -- is on the right... looks like a fig.

Make no mistake, this is great news and perhaps a path to recovery, but HD has much bigger issues driving their plummeting interest in HD than woke alone. What they desperately need is a transformation backward in mindset to recapture what drew people to the brand many many years ago, and it sure as heck wasn’t a 20k base price for their intro into a HD, or the rev max garbage that nobody cares about, or that Goliath adventure motorcycle or electric bikes they can’t sell because nobody cares.
You have to ask yourself why would self purchase a 20k into Harley when self could buy a 10k Triumph with tons of character and reliability and it’s own following as well, or an Indian to answer the laid back cruiser vibe with great reliability and road comfort as well as equal at least in looks for the same or less.
For HD to address real answers for their future, they are first going to have to stop justifying their current path and living on past perceptions and brand loyalty, and start looking to attracting new riders with what they’re looking for in a motorcycle, and why they’re choosing other brands over HD, and chief among them is simply pricing, which has gotten outrageous, and so that’s why if you see someone with a new HD, it’s almost always used. 86ing the old Sportster for the Nightster was a terrible mistake IMO for no other reason than it basically ran off newer and/or younger riders from the brand as there’s much better answers than what the Nightster offers and for an equal or lesser price tag, and it’s simply not a Harley in what it offers, so it’s just not a draw to them.
Get back to what you did because as Boomers die off, so does the boutique motorcycle

39 here, I think they are gnarly.
The one Jax Teller road in SOA was freaking badass.

My brother is a patent attorney in DC area. Makes bank and never married and no kids.
The only "extravagant" expense he has is a Harley.

Harley is a tee-shirt and clothing company that dabbles in selling overpriced buttjewelry motorcycles with 1950's technology.

I’m well past 40, and I borderline hate the things.
I like the idea of a heritage American brand, but they are basically just loud pains in the arse, and far too often ridden by assholes that just want you to have to hear it.
I could “live and let live” with the noise a lot easier if it weren’t for the poseurs that keep rubbing your nose in it.
Take Yellowstone for what it is, but I’ve always thought this scene summed up my image of Harley riders.
