Loved the tornado animation in the opening.
North started a counseling service for child actors like he was, to help them cope when the kid roles ended.

RIP
I watched while DtM ran on Nickelodeon in the 80’s
Probably been 35-40 years since I’ve seen an episode
I’m gonna find and watch now

wow, i just read something a few days ago about hank ketchum, the creator of the comic strip...he seemed to be a real piece of crap...all those years of making money off of his real son's name, and he barely had anything to do with the kid after the suicide of the boy's mother...he didn't even tell the kid his mother was dead until after her funeral...the real dennis spent much of his childhood at boarding schools because his father didn't want him around...he never even met his step-siblings...what a great dad!

Used to catch that show on my air antenna in the mornings while I worked in my shop.
Better shows in the 60's than that the crap thats on TV now. RIP

Same same

I am old, but not old enough to have caught it in its initial run… Also, sort of tangentially related, since it was an old b&w show like Dennis the Menace- i used to work with a guy who’s dad was Timmy on the old Lassie show .. the guy who i worked with was a mixed martial arts guy, back when that sport was kind of in its infancy- and he was also kind of a dipshit “likes to fight guy” at bars- matter of fact I haven’t seen him in years but wouldnt surprise me if he’s dead .

Was it Dennis that coined the phrase “you’re nucking futz” after losing it with Mr Wilson.

Watched that and Double Darron Nickelodeon after school. I hated the ones when he got older.

Did you know the British know a completely different and unaffiliated show called “Dennis the Menace”?

This was in the 90s, but I remember on Saturdays Lassie and then Dennis the Menace used to come on. I liked both, but Dennis the Menace was my favorite.

Helloooo Mr Wilson!
