I'm not much of an anime fan, but my buddy wouldn't leave me alone about watching it.
I just finished it and I honestly believe it's one of the best shows I've ever watched regardless of medium.
I just sat in stunned silence for 10 minutes or so after it was over...

I lost track of it a while back in between one of the "final seasons". Apparently I had not seen where there were subsequent Final Seasons. 
I will have to see how the whole show wraps up.

The opening theme song for the first half of the 1st season is awesome.. i wish they had kept it but the japanese always do that

The real final season is Attack on Titan Season 4: Part 3: Part 2. It was ridiculous waiting for each part of the last season. It’s all out now and worth it. It’s the only anime I’ve ever finished. Levi GOAT.

I might actually like Reiner the most. Levi could wreck him with his eyes closed but I wasn’t the biggest fan of Levi’s storyline with Kenny (ridiculous villain name) and Reiner’s is probably the best.

So in the final chapter of the manga (139) the final scene was Mikasa burying Eren's head at the tree and then the bird tugging on her scarf. Well for some reason the creator released a chapter 139.5 a month or so later that showed all the future stuff happening (like Paradis being bombed and the titan parasite still being alive). So they did all that sacrificing for nothing.

It realllllly picks up as soon as the female titan is introduced probably around episode 15 or so. The initial eps are definitely the worst ones imo

This must not not be on Hulu. I think I started watching because of this very thread. Finished it about a week ago. Dubbed versions for sure. Took a solid commitment.
Since then I’ve watched the live action movie of Pt 1. Not too bad. You really go back on forth on who the good and bad guys are. To me Levi was most consistent if that means anything in this. And had some of the best lines.
Didn’t do any spoilers or explainers so I really had questions throughout. They were mostly answered but a lot of them in totally unexpected ways to be sure.
ETA: I see what you are talking about now. That’s what shows in the credits of the last episode.

The part he is referring to was during the credits of the final episode. It is essentially a montage of events like industrialization and wars that culminate in a young boy finding the titan parasite and assumingly starting the cycle all over again.
