As long as they are peaceful I say more power to them. Protesting the government is a constitutional right.

My problem is that they are protesting to show the state reps that “we are unhappy”. So what? The overwhelming majority are happy and made this known last November. What will this accomplish? Trump isn’t going anywhere; I realize it’s their right but rarely is it “peaceful”.

I can understand protests against tariffs etc
But these protests are specifically about social security
Who is cutting social security? I am aware of zero legislation or executive action that is cutting social security

Unfortunately, these people only listen to what the media narrative tells them. They don't bother to fact check anything. No one is cutting either social security or medicare as the media outlets such as CNN and MSNBC say. People are so gullible.

The argument is they're trying to de-electrify the third rail by making the program run so poorly that the public gets frustrated with it and won't resist cuts and eventual abolishment.
