I have to track my BP prior to dr visits. It will get crazy high. However, the last two times it’s been normal at the dr because I’ve been going in way more for blood work, so I’ve calmed my ridiculous anxiety arse down.

I am a 58 year old male. I take my BP at least once a week. This week, 100/59. Last week, 106/59. Resting heart rate is around 50-52.

Two years ago, my BP was 140/100. Started eating right and exercising. Lost 70 lbs. Now, I have to watch that my BP does not drop too low. It's a much better problem to have than 140/100. Live healthy.

Always runs high. 39yo, 5’8”, 155. Work out and run every day.

Probably need to see about starting some type of med…

Yessir. Nothing wrong with BP meds if it can’t be controlled with diet and exercise. Even after my weight loss, I was still 130 SBP… I wasn’t happy with the. I resumed Lisinopril and now it runs <120/80.

I've always had the problem of mine running high when I first get checked in a doctor's/dentist's office. It never fails...sky high at the beginning, then its way down at the end of the visit.

I have the same. It's always elevated at the doctor. 118/78 this morning, but it varies.

I have also learned to ignore any readings if I've recently had coffee.

Not sold on the accuracy of my Omron unit. It seems to bounce all over the place.

126/86 last I checked - diastolic has been high as an adult. Work out 4x a week and eat pretty well. Don't smoke and drinking is essentially social at this point.

Moral of the story is, you can't outrun your genetics.

Eh, they’re still more accurate than most over the counter monitors. My wife will spot check mine manually every couple weeks and it’s usually within 10-15 points. Electric cuffs always ran high on me.

Omron is supposed to be the best when I did a search.
