Looks like they’re going full action camp with this one.

It's hard to tell if this is an horror movie or an action movie

Yeah, I immediately thought of the parallels to T2 as well (villain AI robot becomes the heroic one to stop an even deadlier AI robot in the second movie).

I could give this a watch.

Universal has absolutely fallen off the map in the last 5 years. The same studio that produced some of the most well-known and beloved classics from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s has stooped to making unforgettable pieces of dogshit like this fricking film.

Weird to attack Universal for making a sequel to a movie that scored high w/both critics and audiences and also made $181m on a $12m budget.

I'm glad they didn't go the full Ultron parody, where M3GAN is in cyberspace, to use a dated term, and is acting like a ghost in the machine to somehow hack her way into some factory or manipulate herself into being remanufactured... This seems a far more clever take, to cast her as the not so bad girl this time.

Or is she?

Megan did not score high with both critics and audiences. It was a modest box office success and a middle-of-the-road film, nothing more.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that I’m more biased towards Universal films from the 2000s, but it’s pretty clear now that they are running out of ideas.

It has a 93% score with critics on rotten tomatoes…. And made a profit of $169m. I think that defines a success

Way to over the top for the 1st sequel. This kind of jumping the Shark seems for later in the series.

lol at calling a movie that made $181 million on a $12 million budget a "modest box office success".

As for critics and audiences, 93% from critics and 78% from audiences on positive reviews via RT for an original IP is pretty darn good.
