I don’t think measuring is the problem

It’s the fricking spotting

will this technology adjust to the chiefs 9.5 yard first downs automatically?

I assume the idea is that it speeds up the game by getting rid of the stoppages in play for refs to bring out the chain gangs for measurements. And in situations where a team is running hurry up offense, they're now ready to play as soon as the ball is spotted instead of having to wait for the chain gang to get set.

This is retarded. Equivalent of tennis only using hawk eye to replace the officials voice saying the word “out”

How will I support my kids now? Jody only makes $23 an hour at his blue collar job. I guess my ex-wife will have to get a job.

Nothing turned me into an old head more than when they started using artificial yard lines over the snow in that pit@cle thursday night game. I don’t want to have a clue what yard line it’s on when it’s snowing. FOH

I remember a snow game many years ago. a dude though he scored and stopped in what ht thought was the end zone.
then somebody came and tackled his arse because he was only at like the 6 yard line.

I don’t recall the last time I saw a chain gang being used for a measurement. Seems like video reviews are used now to determine if a first down was achieved.or not.

This is going to fix obvious crooked officiating how?

Oh, that's right, it won't.

Officials will just work even harder on terrible spots. This is laughable.

Just like soccer is using them to get down to the millimeter for goals and offside calls

Might want to read and NFL officials mechanics manual regarding spotting.

and that line is often wrong.
