College athletes’ income is about to become tax exempt?

Absolutely positively, NO!

Abolish the income tax for all, otherwise, these young entrepreneurs can pay their fair share like everyone else.

Of course it will. As shown this past weekend, there are more low IQ voters voting than not.

So all the working men and women have to pay income taxes. But these spoiled kids get their riches tax free. This is truly a nonsensical race to the bottom. None of this will end well.

frick this shite man. Tax day in two weeks.

Just another way for me and my moderately successful middle management career to carry the weight of this shithole state.

Couldn’t start with doing the same for income taxes for regular LA residents; after all, employers are having to compete with tax free states like TX

College athletes don't get taxed, but kids the same age in the military get taxed.

Don't dare argue that the recipients are going to settle down in the state where the NIL is paid. They will be gone in less than a year if more $$$ is waved in front of them.

So if I'm a brain surgeon saving people's lives on a daily basis I have to pay taxes.... but if I'm REALLY good at catching a ball while playing a game, no taxes?

Out society of fricking retarded with a capital R.

Yeah, let’s cater to the privileged class, the class that $$$ money is never enough. Majority will still cry about oppression after society bends iver backwards.

This is BS, pay taxes like everyone else! Same thing NFL, the league gets tax exemption on tons of categories. So they can toe the line when the machine tells them to endorse ObamaCare & the JAB for Big PHARMA & then come down on a league star white guy that wears a MAGA hat.

They are making hate the game. Rather watch rugby & UFC, and even some hockey over pro-sports with emphasis on NFL, NBA & now college football.

When is it ever enough???

They live like kings!
Free everything
Treated like rock stars in town
Top amenities like the best of elite country clubs

Makes me even more disinterested in college football. I haven’t watched a full game in 4 or 5 seasons.

I’m completely against this and curious why this is even being considered. What the argument for such an exemption?

Is it because other states are doing it and we have to stay competitive?
