I don't think it matters because Ukraine doesn't want to end this war. This is negotiation leverage that is wasted.

Ukraine and NATO are all very obviously the instigators in all of this and we would be acting EXACTLY as Russia has if America was surrounded by hostiles.

I suspect that you are using a very narrow interpretation of the question.
When people post things like,
"This is all the US's fault. for trying to get Ukraine into NATO"
"I would do the same thing if I were Putin."
"He (meaning Putin) should do what’s in the best interest of Russia."
Or when they argue and downvote and call people "retard," etc. for stating that Russia is the one who violated international law in this conflict, they are rooting for Putin.
Even if they don't say, "Tigerdroppings, friends, Romans, countrymen, i would like to go on record and state that I, wackatimesthree, am rooting for Putin."
