Regular season: this may not be the worst but it's up there. I'm talking the last second hail Mary against the Browns during the Mike Ditka era. I still remember feeling like I was just punched in the gut.

Playoffs: 2011 against the 49ers. I got so drunk watching that game. Being shite- faced made the loss worst. I kept waking up in bed that night hoping it was just a bad dream. I was actually emotionally hurt. I'm so glad I grew out of that.

Based on this thread topic, sounds like you’re still hurt and reliving the past. Move on to the present and be an optimist. Life is to short to dwell on the Saints snatching defeat from the jaws of victory

2011 9ers and 2018 Rams are the only 2 losses that cost us Super Bowl wins, imo.

We had some pretty bad ones.

For regular season:
One of the biggest gut punches was the missed XP after the River City Relay

The hail mary against the Browns

Any of the last 3 games in 2002. Needing to win just 1 of our last 3 games to make the playoffs, we end up losing to 1-13 Cincinatti, 5-10 Carolina, but the worst was the first loss of the 3 when the Vikings scored with 5 seconds left then on the winning 2pt conversion attempt, Culpepper fumbles the snap and picks it up, dusts it off, and walks in for 2.

Also anytime a Payton team inexplicably lost a home game to a team way worse than us which either lost us a playoff spot or better seeding (ie, Rams, Browns, Redskins)

No call

49ers playoffs-probably best team.

Minnesota Miracle

Bears NFC title game. At least it was over quick.

The no-call on Donte Whitner’s helmet to helmet on Pierre Thomas that cracked his helmet in two, knocked him out the game, gave them the ball and stopped the momentum pisses me off just an much as the PI no-call.

I thought that game was going a completely different direction after Reggie’s punt return td.

If you are talking about the most devastating loss as opposed to a bad team getting blown out, the NOLA No Call is in a class by itself.

Playoffs: 2012(2011 season) against the 49ers. This one hurt me the most. This was the Saints best team ever in my opinion & screwed up bad by not getting home field advantage. We win this game we get the Giants in the Dome & we had already beaten them by 20 that season. Most likely another Super Bowl appearance & a legit chance to win.

The worse regular season and post season losses were to the Rams

Sunday Night Football late November Flipper Anderson goes for 15 catches 336 yards, Rams make the playoffs, we don't.

The loss to a terrible Rams team that regular season was even worse because ultimately that loss is what forced the Saints to be on the road for that particular game against the 49ers.

2011 49ers hurt the most. There was no way we were losing the rest of the way. That offense was absolutely incredible.

No Call hurt bad, but don't know if we beat NE. Would've been a much better game than the crap that happened.

When Brady retired Brees in the playoffs. What a complete choke.
