Best website to find beach condo

We’ve used VRBO for years, but all of the fees are really tacking on. Just wondering if there are better sites out there.

Same condo on VRBO was $700 cheaper on AirBNB.

Look for a local realty company for the area you are wanting to visit.
We like to go to Perdio so we use Perdio Reality Vacations. The site does not include any surprise fees. When we’ve had to contact them before and during the trip, they have been extremely pleasant and helpful.
I would think that most local companies that manage short term rentals for clients are this way.

I thought VRBO, AirBNB and Booking.com were one and the same now. Are they not?
We use VRBO mostly but sometimes you can look at the areas tourist website and go through them or directly through the owner....

Maybe in a very very rare situation, but generally speaking Airbnb service fee is more than VRBO.
VRBO is something like 7-12% service fee and Airbnb is something like 10-15%. I’ll have to look it up I can’t remember exactly, the higher the price point the lower the percentage of fee for both but generally Airbnb starts and ends as more. Those are fees paid directly to those companies for the “privilege” to book through them.
If you are looking on the gulf coast, Emerald Coast By Owner (ECBYO.com) is a listing site that then takes you directly to owners/ managers properties to book without a hosting site fee to the guest. The website is slightly antiquated but not much.

Often rental companies will put listings on VRBO as well. Using VRBO to search more condos/agencies at once is a good way to go, but then use the specific agencies website to book. Always cheaper that way.

As someone else has said, use the rental management company directly.
Last time to Gulf Shores I used Vacasa, which is the company that manages a lot of condos. I cross referenced with AirBnB and VRBO and Vacasa was the cheapest for the same condos.

Southern Vacation Rentals
Emerald Coast by Owner
Sometimes the condo building will have its own website where you can see what is available in the building and book directly.
Also a good idea to find what you like on VRBO and then do a google search of the building and unit number. Sometimes you'll find the same unit on multiple sites for different prices.

I've been using Beachball Properties the past couple trips to Orange Beach/Perdido area.

For beach, we usually go direct to the management company, like Brett/Robinson or Fort Morgan Property Management.
Evolve is another option. I rented a place in Arkansas once. Checked VRBO and AirBnB. Evolve was a couple hundred cheaper for the total trip. Next time, it could be different, but it's worth checking all the majors once you pick a place.

Find what you want on Airbnb or Vrbo, then search for the same condo/owner’s own website or property management website and book direct through them to save all the fees.

Use VRBO and AirBNB to find places via their friendly interface.
Then, book through the owner directly once you find their info on the sites above.

Find you condo on VRBO. Then see who the managing company is, and book directly with them. I just saved about 600 bucks for destin

You have to pay for that service

This
Just scroll down and see what rental company is listing the property and go to their website. For a typical week long rental it's usually $400-500 cheaper. VRBO is a freaking scam.
