Do you mix your woods?

I’m in the process of upgrading all clubs, irons and putter upgraded end of last year. All of my woods are 15-20 years old. I went to a Callaway fitting and ordered a 3 wood. When the budget allows, should I get their driver and rescue wood as well?

I have a cobra LTDx driver and 3 wood.
I kept my TM M2 5wood (21 degrees) and 7 wood (24 degree).
I also carry a 6 hybrid SIM by TM .

I have Callaway Epic Max Star driver, 3W, & 4H. Same shafts, etc…

Rarely do they go hand in hand with the driver but they can. Head shape and turf interaction are way more important for the 3Wood and how it fits a swing. Also, a companies R&D may go all into a driver while the woods get ignored and don’t have the same tech.

Fairway wood is probably the most personal club in the bag besides putter.
Some tour pros have 15 year old fairway woods.
You find one you like that’s consistent it never leaves the bag.

Mine are mixed. Ping 425 LST Driver and G425 5 Wood but keeping my Callaway Mavrik 3+ in the bag. Tried the Ping G430 3 W but went back to the Mavrik. Use what works best for you.

Currently I am rocking a Cobra Aerojet Driver- 9 degree. It’s a good driver, but I’m not married to it
I have 2 three woods that I rotate- TaylorMade Sim Max 2- 15 degree and a Titleist 909 F2 15.5 degree
My 5 wood is a Titleist 909 F2-18.5 degree (I don’t think I’ll ever replace this club). It goes 240, straight, and flies 130 feet in the air almost everytime I hit it.
Those Titleist woods are from 2008 and tbh I think they perform just as well as the 2022 TaylorMade Sim Max lineup. Ball speed is a bit lower, but the distance, playability, and forgiveness all seems to be similar

My driver, 3 wood, and 3H are all the same make/model. More important than the make/model was the shaft.
I like my driver and 3 wood to feel the same so just for feel reasons I went with the same just with a slightly lighter shaft. I could easily do different makes on the club but i don't think I'll ever go back to hitting different shafts in the two clubs.

You aren't playing to feed your family, so use whatever works the best for you.

You owe it to yourself to get some newer technology in your driver and hybrid. Even a 3-4 year old model will be leaps and bounds better than a club that's almost 2 decades old. Those drivers that are a few seasons old can be found relatively cheaply.

I have a Titleist driver and rescue wood. Still rocking the Nike Ignite 3 wood because I love the way the steel shaft swings in it and I haven't seen many of the newer 3 woods with a steel shaft.

Not sure I have ever had matching woods in my bag.
