Is anyone looking into buying a Tesla?

I've always been intrigued by Teslas and EVs, because I think the technology is neat, but never felt it was a practical purchase. But am reconsidering, and really like the Tesla Y my neighbor just bought.

They’re perfectly practical as long as you’re not a single car household.

Have had one for 4 years. Been pleased. Great car and fun car to drive around town. Not fun to travel ~200 miles or a road trip. Great technology.

So I can get it keyed in Nashville. No thanks

If they come out with a pickup truck that looks like a pickup truck, I'd consider it. Cyber truck isn't for me.

I am about a year out from getting one. But I will get one.

No I don’t fall for the global warming lie

Interesting tech, but I would be lenient to purchase an item that is currently being vandalized.

I want one for around town and 100 miles or less of travel. I've test-driven one, and it's a fun car to drive. It's weird, though, with no engine roar.

Practical if you only do local short trip driving.
I feel EV's are about 10 to 15 years away from being practical. Still many kinks to work out.

Yes. I want to be on the Antifa list

I am thinking about it next time we need a car.

No, why would I buy a Nazi car when I can get a nice Volkswagen EV…

Nope. I'm looking at an F-450 with an any level lift.

Yes, buying a 3 series for my son.

I don't either but that minor Tesla subplot on Silicon Valley sure made them look fun. (I assume HBO got paid on the product placement because that was one hell of a commercial.) I looked into it at that time but with no one local to work on it seemed risky even as a 3rd vehicle.

I made a thread a week or so back asking. I’m looking to purchase one but it will be a few months (assuming the 7500$ credit is still given).

When they have unassisted full self driving I will.
