You Have to Make Women's NCAA Tournament Field Smaller

I'm sorry, as much as ESPN pushes the WNCAA tournament, the early rounds are still a joke.
Uconn isn't even a one-seed and is up 66-16 at halftime. Notre Dame, a three seed, won by 52 yesterday. South Carolina won by 60. Lehigh scored 25 points yesterday against Duke.
Yeah, you can say that Duke beat Mt. St. Mary's by 44, but anyone who is making that argument is being disingenuous. Those type of results, even for 1/16 (let alone 2/15 or 3/14) happen every once in a while on the men's side.
This happens every year, multiple times a year, in the women's NCAA tournament field. It's embarrassing and makes the game look bad, even though the later rounds can be legitimately exciting.
Make the field 32 teams (or even 48) and let's stop this farce of a first round for the top seeds where the 14-16 seeds especially are literally wasting their time and money even showing up.

Sports haven’t been about competition for a while now. Every league, except maybe the NFL should decrease the number of playoff participants

So then they got blown out. Who gives a shite?

Hey, uconn is only up 69 points in the third. What’s wrong with that

It’s why title 9 was bullshite. Men like playing sports more than women. There are more men playing sports than women. Ergo you don’t have the same depth of competition.

The larger issue is that you're watching women's basketball

Okay cut out all the at-large bids… make the regular season matter again

Same as it ever was in Women's CBB.
It's like the 60s in men's CBB....where 23 teams was TOO much.
Every year in Women's its maybe 4 teams that have a chance.....1 or 2.
8 teams is plenty, 16 is gluttony, 68 teams is just mimicking the Men without justification.

I'm not watching, and neither is anyone else, whether it's UConn beating Arkansas St by 65 or Maryland by 30 so who cares?

Ironically the women had a 16 beat a 1 long before it happened in the men’s tournament.
Now I will say that yeah, the difference in talent is bigger in the women’s bracket.

Last year 31 of 32 higher seeds won in the first round. This year is actually abnormal in that 3 lower seeds have won so far

Who cares? Once in a lifetime experience for most of those kids.
