Texas and Tennessee look like Mickey Mouse programs playing on them.

I’ll give them credit for the dirt mound at least. Not saying much

It's ridiculous enough they play football on turf in an outdoor stadium. Turf in baseball is an abomination.

Tennessee has it for weather related reasons. They’re able to get more outdoor practices in early in the year.

Texas has no fricking excuse.

At least it looks like “good turf”. A lot of smaller schools have to patch it up on the mound and batters box which looks awful. It’s not like it lasts forever and I get it’s good when it’s new but teams will stretch its life which makes for poor playing conditions.

I remember 1 year at Vandy LSU players would slide past the 2nd base bag like the turf was ice.

It’s bullshite. LSU should refuse to play these games. It’s beneath the status of the program

Baseball is played on grass and dirt. End of story

LSU should refuse to play at half the SEC schools? That would go over well

Is this required? Tulane has the same thing.

Yep it’s ugly.

Why can’t I see a home plate?

Unbecoming of the SEC. Hope we can get everyone fixed the next few seasons.

Water situation in Austin is horrible. Turf is actually a lot cheaper for them to manage than grass

Not only is it a horrible turf field, it may be the ugliest field possible. Can’t you at least make the fake dirt spots match the real dirt on the mound?

That is the ugliest baseball field I have ever seen.
