Idk if he's repaired his reputation enough for Texas just yet. Do 2-3 years at NC State, then the big boys will come calling.

Maybe. Then again, you could argue that NC State has historically been a better basketball program than Texas.

Maybe not this year, but they're in the SEC now. They will have more money for recruiting and NIL. I can definitely see them being in the top of the conference in the next 3-4 years. They just have to hire the right guy.

And Texas has made the tournament in 16 of the last 20 seasons, and have 14 20+ win seasons in the last 20 seasons. Texas is a lot bigger brand in basketball than NC State is, maybe not in the last few years but overall.
NC State has 9 tournament appearances in 20 years, don't let recency bias cloud your opinion of Texas vs NC State.
