A file was removed this morning from the recent JFK dump.

Confirms the belief that many files still haven't been released

Not sure why they would want to keep that secret. Every CIA movie I've ever seen, the agents used State Department cover. This is widely known by everyone.

The smoking gun will never enter the public domain.

It's funny you say that. I read a Washington Post summation this morning that talked about this very thing and how it was released in this document dump. I just accept this sort of thing as standard CIA operating procedure.
So far, nothing really significant or revelatory has come out regarding the assassination itself.
The spycraft part of it though and how the CIA sausage is made is interesting, but largely boring. It reminds me of the book Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. Spycraft isn't sexy or exciting at all.

You mean the "smoking gun" Oswald used all by himself to blow Kennedy's head off? So far, nothing I've read disputes that conclusion. The AI summations I've seen posted on this board don't count.
Maybe more will be revealed, we'll see. It'll take academic historians and legitimate policy experts weeks to poor over this.

It's so widely known, that when a friend of mine's daughter got a job at State, I jokingly asked: "so she's working for the CIA?"

How old is this document? 1997?
were they still using typewriters in 1997?

This I agree with.
But if you think nothing in these files is contrary to the original story you are incorrect.
And I bet when you child stood in front of their bedroom door and we like "No, no, you can't come in." You shrugged and walked away and didn't even wonder why?
Smoke and fire analogy. Think!

Again, Greenwald was mistaken. They did not remove the document

Reread that paragraph in its entirety again
You basically said, I have read all 2,123 documents, every page (80-150 thousand), and can confirm the AI summaries I disagree with are false

I think what people fundamentally misunderstand is that there will be no documentation of a conspiracy. There will be a tangled web of information that investigators, journalists, scholars and former CIA/law enforcement will have to synthesize and analyze, likely over years. Only then can any kind of conclusion be drawn, but it will never be proven in a court of law. At least the information will now be available.

How about you start by quoting my entire post. Nevermind, I'll do it for you.

Let's let actual human beings who are experts in their fields review the data and come to a conclusion and not rely so much on computer programs to do that for us.
So far the news articles I've read haven't revealed anything that significantly changes the established narrative that Oswald acted alone. Let's give it a few more weeks and a little more scrutiny before we all glom onto grok or whatever else.

The expose files will never be released since the were probably burned years ago.
Seriously, who would document damning covert actions?
There are criminals that say on their iPhone notes, “go rob the Piggly Wiggly tomorrow.”
But I hope they don’t work for the government.

quote:Was also widely known by our military guys with boots on the ground. If you read any amount of military books about WW2 and later, they almost always include a sentence about someone claiming to be from State that was clearly the CIA. I'm pretty sure it's even mentioned in the book The Greatest Beer Run Ever, about the guy bringing beer to his friends in the Vietnam War.
It's so widely known, that when a friend of mine's daughter got a job at State, I jokingly asked: "so she's working for the CIA?"
So, the question becomes why would they say they need to hide this when it was widely known?

That's about right.
I think in a few weeks though, we'll have a much clearer picture on the assassination itself and the analysis will disappoint a whole lotta folks.
