I used to switch hit, primarily for the purpose of bunting from the left though.

I'm not really ambidextrous, mostly left handed but catch and throw right handed. However, I can hit with either hand about the same. But I was told (as a kid playing in a city summer league), that I could not switch sides after the first pitch.

Isn't there an MLB pitcher right now with some weird arse name that is throwing both left and right in the same game?

Yeah he played for Mississippi state. Throws 90+ from both sides.

Greg Harris did that while playing for the Expos in 1995. When he was with the Rangers in the mid-80's, Tom House was the pitching coach. Pretty sure he had a glove made to wear on either hand, and talked about letting him pitch both ways. House was an odd coach. Think he works with QB's some now.

I would bean him just for his deliberate inability to set a batting stance.

Dude has no interest in getting bat on ball but to frustrate the strike zone, wiggling up and down like an Amoeba trying to game a walk. File that under CS, chicken shite.

You see it in the Little League World Series.....

Japanese players as youngsters are taught these plate antics....they crowd the plate, basically standing on it past the box, do everything to get hit or shrink the zone, always sticking their bats out there like they're going to bunt, screaming Samurai yells at the top of their lungs....nothing makes a Japanese baseball player happier than getting on base without doing anything but being annoying and bothersome to the pitcher.

I was thinking he must not be that good if he is resorting to this.

I think there was an MLB game way back when a switch pitcher and switch hitter faced off. Whenever the pitcher put on his left handed glove the switch hitter would move to the other side of the plate prompting the pitcher to pick up his right handed glove prompting another move from the hitter. Finally the ump said enough of this crap, pick a side and stick with it or I'm going to punish you one way or another.

Once you establish what side you're hitting from, there's no changing mid bat, huh?

Correct. Same way with jurrangelo cijntje the switch pitcher. You have to declare your hand before the at bat and you cannot switch until the next batter.
