Of course the courts will rule that the auto pen is valid but in the meantime making them fight will be fun.

This is some pie in the sky junk from trump.
No court is going to entertain this.
The sad thing is that a lot of people are going to get their hopes up that it will happen (like the Epstein files) only to get another empty Al Capone vault.
Trump needs to tread carefully with some of these promises. It’s going to breed disappointment when it doesn’t get fulfilled

The process is the punishment.

Good luck with that. Seems like one hell of legal battle.

quote:Well, presidents have 'signed' with them since Jefferson. We're going to have to undue a a whole lot of shite if they're all void, which may not be the worse thing, but would throw 200+ years, of presidential signatures into chaos as we investigate what was and wasn't signed with auto-pens.

grampa up late melting

It's not that an autopen was used, it's that an autopen was used without his awareness that seems to be the issue. This is tantamount to forging his signature. Is that allowed?

If Joe Biden can testify as to who he signed pardons for and why, without assistance from his handlers, then the pardons can stand. If not, then they are void. It's only been a couple months. Surely he remembers what happened in the closing days of the greatest accomplishment of his life.

Northshore, you know your history. Jefferson did invent an apparatus that would copy what he was writing, so he would have two copies when he was done.

He's not really promising anything. He knows this will end up in court, likely all of the way to the Supreme Court. After they rule, he'll know what he can undo and what he can't. You know this. Yes, there are some buffoons that are going to think 4 years of Presidential actions are going to be undone, but there were also idiots dancing in the streets thinking they had a chance at getting Trump removed from office just this week.

Just playing along as if this were going somewhere. By accepting a pardon those individuals admit guilt. So they evidently admitted guilt without the benefit of actually being pardoned.

That's not actually true. You don't have to admit anything to accept a pardon. However, pleading the fifth on the matter of the pardon becomes untenable.

If the Autopen has a time stamp and if it was signed while Biden was out of the country the how can it be valid?
