If some of these Safeties step up, I feel really good about this team.

Happy others get important reps in the Spring too, so that's a silver lining to them being out right now.

You could see glimpses of those vaunted LSU defenses of the past last season, then it would revert to LSU over the last 5 years. It was really frustrating. Hoping to see alot more of the former and alot less of the latter next season.

Seems like our big dropoffs this year were still cases where our DE can't hold the edge and/or our safeties looking lost. Offenses at this level are too good at exploiting the glaring weaknesses. Have to improve there.

Best thing about this year's defense is you have talent, depth and plenty of competition at most positions.
We really need to see Toviano and Spears step up at S and Cooley to be a solid portal addition. If safety play improves the defense should be stout.
