The government spending, waste and fraud were driving the inflation. You’ll see it coming down as DOGE works.

2.8 % inflation sucks buckets, especially after a long inflationary cycle.
Still, I think Trump’s efforts are in the right direction and I guess I’m glad it’s not worse.

The economic cool down/recession seems guaranteed at this point.
In terms of politics the question is how Trump can avoid blame for it, especially with his very public and very.....idiosyncratic economic policy so far.

The tariffs started in March…although I guess you could argue their anticipation was baked in.

Doge isn't affecting inflation yet. In fact, Trump isn't yet. But if Trump can slow the economy down with tariffs then it will wring the inflation out.

Some times. corrections mean it has to get worse before it gets better. We were on a direct collision course for collapse. Let's see if we have enough in the tank to salvage this thing. At least he's trying.

Look up the cycle of how they release these stats. The one released next month is the one that shows what has happened since Trump took the reins.
I’m expecting low inflation.
