To continue throwing money at a bad investment is a fool’s errand.

$40M invested in DEI? In Green Bay, WI?

That money is elsewhere.

40 million to support racism instead of adding teachers and increasing teachers salaries to actually benefit the students.

Every school board member that votes for that should be imprisoned for breaking federal law.

As long as they don’t like Federal money, they should be fine

If they want to fund it then so be it. Don’t ask money from the Feds to supplement your budget. Failing policies and schools should fold up. Schools that are run with excellence will excel. We need a different model for education because the current one is terrible for the children.

I’d like to know what the parents in that district think. I really doubt this Board has bothered to ask them, or if they actually give a damn.

Why would you need 40M for this? No way there is not fraud. There should definitely be a focus on this and made an example of.

No, that tweet is half truths at best.

Green Bay school district gets almost $40 million from federal funding. Most of which is for the lunch program, head start and special education.

The Green Bay school district didn't vote to keep the DEI program, the vote is being held on Monday at 5pm, the video you saw was about putting in on the agenda. The issue is focused on:

quote:

A policy setting district reading goals is being changed to eliminate a goal, set in September, that 10% more Black students in third through 11th grade hit grade-level standards.
The goal was based on “data that shows the District is meeting the needs of some student groups better than others,” according to the policy.

In fact weeks ago Green Bay's council voted to:

quote:

GREEN BAY - Mentions of “diversity,” “equity,” “inclusion” and “cultural competency" were removed from some Green Bay School District job descriptions Monday night after Trump administration threats to freeze K-12 federal funding to programs that promote civil rights-based DEI policies.

In a Feb. 21 statement, the district said it was "taking steps to comply" with a Feb. 14 letter from the federal Department of Education stating the department would be enforcing nondiscrimination obligations by opposing diversity, equity and inclusion programs. According to the letter, schools that don't make changes risk losing federal funding.

On Monday night, the Green Bay School Board approved changes to four job descriptions on a 4-3 vote

They are doomed to fail.

There is no way DEI can compete with meritocracy.

That area of Wisconsin is very conservative. When i was driving to Door County last fall there were Trump signs pretty much the entire way. I don't think i ever saw a Biden sign.

DEI is a grift.

They pay idiots with idiotic degrees in some stupid shite to consult.

That consultant likely also makes campaign donations to the board.

Follow the money.
