Does the Tesla autopilot work well in BR, or LA roads in general?

Just curious. Reading an Elon biography now and how the cars were developed.

Auto pilot isn’t that difficult of a concept and many car companies have something very similar. FSD (full self driving) is now an $8k upgrade and it’s drives 99% of the time without you having to intervene, including in this area.
The newer models (23 and newer) have a different hardware for this that is much improved. The older models are good with FSD but not great.

Yes, nap away and hope you don't wake up dead in a feiry crash

The fact that Elon Musk is trying to shut down the agency investigating the growing number of Tesla autopilot crashes should tell you all you need to know.
Tesla uses visual cameras that result in lots of mistakes that other car companies are able to avoid using much more reliable LiDAR sensors.

If it uses Striping and reflectors, it won't work here.

Can't speak for LA but it is awesome in Alabama. I never "drive" anymore. Takes me from my house to my office and back without ever touching the steering or pedals. Stops, turns, merges, passes, it's pretty damn cool.
Most of my FSD has been in Huntsville but I have also used it for road trips to Tuscaloosa (150 miles, all interstate) and Andalusia (280 miles, 80% interstate).

Really? Elaborate?

Yes it does... i'm floored at the technology. Been driving a 3 for a few weeks now.

It cancels your FSD subscription if it catches you looking away from the road too many times

Some of these “government agencies” push obsolete requirements and nonsense regulations to either make money or favor other companies. By questioning the bullshite Musk was able to get Teslas and SpaceX rockets built a bit more cheaply, not sacrificing safety. NASA was hamstrung by this bullshite.
Also, look up “Cost +” payments to contractors. Biggest waste of money.

It absolutely works; it drives better than I do.

Tesla used to have radar in their older cars, but HW 4 is all camera. Stop trying to act like you’re intelligent enough to argue how the most successful self driving vehicles available to the public utilizes technology.
You hate musk because you’re extremely left wing

It works well. Probably one of the best tests I have seen was in LA and it only needed help in some of the worst spots

It would take a special brand of moron to let a car drive itself. It pisses me of that the wife’s new whip hits the brakes on its own

I’d rather cars drive themselves if 75% of people I see driving near me are looking at their cell phones.

I’ve put in about 500 miles on Full Self-Drive over the past three weeks, and let me tell you—you couldn’t be more wrong. I was a little hesitant at first, but this car drives better than I ever could.
Anyone repeating that nonsense you posted has clearly never let a Tesla take the wheel.
Lucky for you the prices are dropping like rocks and there's never been a better time to snag one.

This has got to be a troll or an idiot.

Autopilot keeps you in your lane and accelerates/decelerates based on what is in front of you. It’s for highways/interstates (although I’ve used it on long city roads)
If you’re asking about Full Self Driving (FSD, which costs extra) then yes it’s really good. The quality of the roads (assuming markings are readable) doesn’t matter and it usually figures it out on roads that are poorly marked.
It’s doing about 90% of my driving for me, rual roads, city, highway. It’s not perfect but it’s really good and getting better all the time.
