MLB Biggest Surprise Team this Year?

Last year you had team like KC, The Brewers, and the Tigers have success while teams like Toronto, Rangers, Mariners, Red Sox all struggle.
What are your predictions for surprise teams?
AL going to say Tampa even though they seem to always be good but have scuttled recently and in the NL I'm going with the Pirates.

NL, I'll say Cincy. I think they either get the WC or even go as far as surprising everyone and winning the division.
AL, Oakland. They don't finish last, maybe even 3rd.

I keep thinking the Reds will break through. They have young talent.
Elly de la Cruz
An ace
Hunter Greene
And a manager
Terry Francona

Reds. They were on the cusp last year and Tito is the best manager in baseball. He'll get them into the playoffs.

Pirates probably have the best staff in baseball
Skenes
Jones
Keller
Falter
Heaney
Then have three arms in the minors that will be up this year in Chandler, Ashcraft, and Harrington
Howitz, O'Neil, Hayes, Reynolds, Bart, Davis, Gonzales, all provide potential with vet leadership in McCutchen, Pham, and IKF

1) A's. Think the AL is VERY VERY wide open and they make the playoffs. Their young core I love.
2) Reds. Francona will make a big difference for them and think they win the NL Central. Brewers will fall a bit and Cubs are overrated.
3) Nationals. Love their young position players and think Gore has a great year. Tough division, but think they will be a problem this year.

For the NL that's my pick. Acquired Singer to add to pitching. The offense is alright but the pitching will carry them or let them down.
AL I'm going with Tampa. Why? Because they often overachieve with the roster they have. Boston could be a flop, Baltimore might be down a little, Toronto still has the plane ready to visit free agents.

Baltimore may have some good pitching with Bautista coming back and signing the ace of the japanese league.

Red Sox will be much improved from last year
Tigers have a solid squad

The Rangers will be surprisingly bad. Worse than last season, which we’ll refer to as the good old days.
Still a fan though.

You are drunk. This isn't 1984
But weirder things have happened. If the Tigers can improve their offense just a little and not strike out so much, I think they can make a run.

If the roster stays even remotely healthy we have just as good of a shot as anyone in the AL.

The only preseason bet I’ve placed so far cause I liked the value was Texas winning the west

1. A’s: they have a shockingly nice lineup, if the pitching holds up they might be a surprise WC team.
2. Orioles: Obviously they had a big year last year, but I feel like a lot of people are down on them this year. I think they make a move for an elite pitcher again and make a CS run.
3. Twins: Once again, very deep lineup. They need some young guys to go and pitching to have a bounce back year, but if they stay healthy they can easily win the central. (Granted, anybody besides the White Sox can say they could win that division and be realistic)
