Ever wonder why they don’t branch out to Baton Rouge? The place is a gold mine.

Probably because their current 4 locations are making so much money they don’t have to expand or franchise outside their comfort zone. Billy can get to any location within a 20 minute drive.

Best Stop has crossed the state line and is now here in Texas. Saw a new Kartchner's going up in Crowley (should've been built about 3.5 hours farther west IMO).

Like the OP, no idea why there's no east migration. Seems like the market would be there.

Am also surprised none of the TX BBQ stalwarts have tried to make a go of it in Laffy or BR.

They should put something at the lobdell exit. Their distribution center is in port barre so not much further to go to lobdell as it is to go to Scott. Whoever puts something there is going to make a killing

I agree, and I’m not the least bit familiar with Rudy’s.

Rudy’s suffers on reputation in Texas because it’s not nearly as good as any of the dozens of world class BBQ places there, but it’s good, some things are better than good they are excellent. Way better than anything here. We stop at Rudy’s when driving thru Texas on purpose…always good and always fun

Best Stop crossed the state line because they decided to franchise locations. Current Katy location owners have exclusive rights to ALL future BS’s in Texas.

Will have to disagree. Haven't been to Rudy's in years but it's a solid BBQ option, no 1/2+ hour lines, and accessible.
