Anyone know anything about him, his numbers are not eye popping but apparently runs a 4.59 40 yard dash and don't turn the ball over much. Supposedly having a good combine

I did a Sim Draft and got him in the 4th round. I think he worth a 4th or 5th round gamble.

If you’re not taking a QB in the 1st or 2nd round no point taking one. You already have two young QBs to compete for the back up roll.

And IMO there aren’t many QBs in this draft better than Carr or Rattler. Maybe Not even better then Heaner

Probably not better than Carr, but Dart has been better than Rattler their entire SEC careers. Dart is better than Rattler and is a better prospect than Rattler and Haener.

Draft or UDFA a QB every year until you have a starter. Doesn't matter the round, I'm just already over paying fair market prices for below-average or average QBs. Until this team is better or we find a franchise QB, just keep bringing them in and rolling them out for cheap.

Right I'm thinking like Taysom replacement with this guy if you can get him in a later rounds. 4.5 speed for a QB not shabby

Dude is nothing like Taysom. They better not waste a 4th on another backup qb.

The knock on him is arm talent. Scouts say he can't consistently make NFL throws. There have been QB in the past that did ok with average arm strength but they had to be in an offense that can hide their faults.

Taysom

Can we do something aside from replicating a gimmick player that is a true 1/1?

An actual dual threat Qb.
An OL that can block for short yardage.
Finding a receiver or tight end who can catch or block

Finding the next Taysom will be harder to find than an actual person who can do just 1 of the above and hitting.

I’d take a flyer on Tyler Shough late in the draft over Cook.

We’re not looking for a “Taysom replacement” we need an actual QB of the future. If he can run all the better.

Just because he runs sorta fast doesn’t mean he can replicate what Taysom does.

I don't know much about Cook, but I do know this board shits on every QB in every draft

He and Dart are my favorite mid round guys to take chance on. If they such you aren’t losing much but until we have a QB wasting a 4th or 5th round pick isn’t very much if it ends up hitting or even if they end up being a solid backup it’s worth a mid round pick.

I mean, what is the major difference between Dart, Hurts, and Prescott? CKM has shown twice now that he can have top offenses with guys like that. I thought Dart was a tool at Ole Miss but I think that about every player they have. Would be glad to have him in NOLA. We need a rookie on a cheap contract that can help us be competitive the next few years

Watched Cook quite a few times because SEC.

Hes athletic, but I’ve never been impressed with him as a thrower. Had a lot of injury issues over his time there, I’d be genuinely shocked if he’s drafted unless somebody plans to turn him into a Taysom type. Just doesn’t have the arm to be an NFL quarterback
