LSU gets a double bye but a rough draw. Probably will have to beat Bama, Texas, and South Carolina to win it.

Revenge against Alabama and getting flauje healthy are two reasonable goals. Would be amazing to beat bama and ole miss after the past week

The hay is in the barn. Not much to be gained or lost this week.

Yea being that we are locked in as a 3/4 seed just get out of the tourny healthy

Looks like they play Friday night at 8:30.
Also annual reminder:
Kim Mulkey doesn’t care about winning the SECT. It’s all about setting up her team to make a deep run in March. She has said this.

Wonder why the other coaches don’t feel this way?

Kim does not give 2 shits about the SEC tournament.

Nope Creme of ESPN still has us at two this am, but given NCAA feelings on Kim maybe a 3 in the end, NO WAY a 4

You mean the other 14 coaches in the league who haven't won a national championship, let alone 4?
As for Staley, they win so many SEC Tournaments simply because they have been far and away the best team.

Yeah we are locked in as a 2 or 3 seed.

Other coaches don't need multiple hands to wear all their national championship rings.

I personally think they’ll likely slide back to a 3 seed potentially with the fall off at last week of season. LSU, TCU and NC St are all vying for those last two 2 seed spots. LSU does hold a record advantage and win over nc st but sometimes committee will reward or punish teams depending on how they end the year tbh
They’ll be at worst a 3 seed. If we went 1-1 this week I’d say we would have been locked in almost for a 2 seed but the extra loss at home and no Flaujae come SECT makes things dicy
No way a 4 seed

Actually, here is a better answer.
Most of the teams in the conference tournament have something tangible to play for.
Teams like Kentucky, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma have hopes of being Top 4 NCAA seed with the ability to host.
Then there are a few teams trying to stay out of the NCAA First Four. Then there are a couple trying to stay off the bubble. And a few others who just want to improve their seed....and 5 or 6 who suck and whose season will end this week.
Kim has never had a team on the bubble or who was in danger of not hosting NCAA. She literally has never had any advantage to gain in a conference tournament like the ones I mentioned above.

Without Johnson, I think we'll lose game 1 versus Bama probably closely like last week. One and done is my prediction.
I see us either a #2 or a #3 seed in NCAA Ty. Win two in the PMAC and then it'll be matchups, good or bad, in the Sweet 16 and MAYBE Elite Eight.
IMO, hafta catch lightning in a bottle to make the Final Four.

This don't mean squat we still a 2 seed in big tourney. It's about getting flo and others healthyi

LSU gains absolutely nothing from this tourney.
Even if they win it they’ll still be a 2 seed in the dance
Just doesn’t make sense to risk injury here, I’d sit morrow and Williams
