Is anyone here or do yall know anyone that has box stands they are looking to get rid of? We are buying a new hunting property and need 5 stands: 4x6 or 5x5 would work.

If y’all can afford it, buy new antler sheds.

Sounds good in theory but I’m low on extra time, but more importantly, I’m not very handy with any type of carpentry work. I’d love to learn how to build them but don’t have a shop or the equipment to do so. If there are options out there for someone like me, I’m all ears.

My dad and I built multiple box stands in the woods with just the following equipment: post hole digger, chainsaw and hammer. Those things are standing 20 years+ later. They don't have the straightest angles but they are safe. I don't think I could do the same by myself.

Another vote for Antler Sheds.

Wood and a few ryobi tools is all you need to build onsite.
We left box stands in Arkasas when I bought land in MS. Build what you want.
That said, my kids and my main buddy's kids are grown, so we both have money and plenty of free weekends. Building is fun, but buy them if time is limited.

Whats your budget? How weather proof you want them? Mobile or fixed position?

Also highly recommend the antler sheds. But get the 5x6 version. I have both 4x6 and 5x6 and I could kick my own arse for not getting all 5x6.

What’s the cost on these? Their website has a “Contact Us for Pricing”, I do not need to be on any more mailing lists.

$1000-1500: I know that seems low for high end ones which it is, but I need 5 of them.
Would prefer not to have leaks everywhere. But don’t necessarily need them “home” proof.
Fixed position.
There are plenty of people on FB marketplace willing to build stands for 800-1200 or around that price. Could be an option.

Buy one or two antler sheds this year and add more as you can. Academy had tripods for $129 a while back. Use the tripods until you can buy more shooting houses.

Do they need to be on a stand?
Big Dogg deer blinds in Conroe Texas had some great prices last time I checked. I’ve bought a couple little chingon ASF blinds and ranch king and they are 4k to 5k with taxes and a tower.
I want to say these were $1800 to $2800 depending on size and platform or not. Now if you went really big they jumped up pretty high in price to around $4500 and up.
