Will not be popular opinion but I think the criticism of Kendall Rogers is not warranted

Yes the stream had problems. But for the most part I enjoyed the broadcast. It was better than not being able to watch it at all. Full disclosure I wasn't able to watch the first half of the first game because of work but he gave everyone refunds. That's the best you can do given an unfortunate situation.

Thats why I started the thread. Because its over the top IMO. Even though hes an Aggie, dude has an affinity for LSU.

They just need to fine tune their streaming and using LSU to fund their entry into the TV world is going to backfire on them. They need to go with a fanbase less rabid than LSU

Kendall had problems yesterday. Came on here and offered a refund and said they got it fixed.
Then more issues today.
And that’s on top of the poor camera work when you finally are able to see the game.
I appreciate what Kendall is trying to do, but don’t charge me a premium price for a sub par service. That’s what it boils down to.

This is probably true, but this has happened 2 years ago and is still happening now. This might be too big of a deal for them. I like D1. Kendall is sorta dry and most of the crew is kinda amateur but I really appreciate what they do for college baseball.
That said this feels like it's kinda out of their wheelhouse. Maybe take a step back and get it right for a season or two before you try and pull in the big boys.

This is my take with the whole thing.
It’s a money grab that allows D1 baseball to build brand…but if they would just leave it alone, our games would be on ESPN. This makes me feel burned by the D1 brand, regardless of how the broadcasts turned out. I know KR is working hard to do something great, but this isn’t a great setup at all for me as a fan.

For me the issue is the price and the production quality. $5 or so per LSU game, or $15-$20 for all 3 LSU games, WITH a reliable stream and solid broadcast, seems reasonable. I don't want to get roped into another tournament or games LSU isn't involved in or a website subscription.

My guess would be because of the deal that ESPN has with the SEC. Apparently it doesn't include early season tournaments. There is no way D1 Baseball is taking up spots that ESPN wants.

This entire 3 game series is a D1 production. They plan it, organize it, fund it. Without D1, there is no series.
Also…. The SEC network which allows you to watch sec+ games only televises games played in sec stadiums. The Southern game was played in a SEC stadium.

It’s not personal, I’m smart enough to know he has zero desire to frick over lsu fans but this is an ongoing issue, gotta bite to the bullet and take a smaller cut to get the stream right.. if it’s a money problem, this won’t help.
