One of the things that hasn’t been mentioned much is that they can cut down on Luka’s usage a lot more having LeBron and Reaves as well. I haven’t checked any stats to see if this is happening. One reason Luka got so hobbled in the playoffs is his usage was through the roof on the Mavs. In the playoffs, it’s scary to imagine if you aren’t able to wear him down. He also appears to be playing himself into better shape.

I still think the West is too deep and the Celtics are too good though. Thoughts?

No. Warriors and Nuggets are better.

The Nuggets can be painfully bad with Jokic on the bench. The only way they contend is if bubble Murray on steroids shows up.

Have you been watching the Warriors lately? Jimmy Butler makes them a cheatcode. Curry is still a top three player.

They woukd be so unbelievably outclassed by OKC.

That roster wouldn’t be good enough even with a healthy Lebron. Luka is trash.

OKC is obviously great, and defense translates well to the postseason. But there's just something about the NBA playoffs and having stars, not just these youngins. Their playoff experience last year should help though, but I'm still not convinced the get out of the West

Probably not. The Lakers have a good thing going right now with their small-ball lineup, but are still a below-average three-point shooting team and take the third-most free throws per game of any team in the NBA. Come the playoffs when refs swallow their whistles more and the Lakers can't two-point everyone to death, they'll struggle.

Also, they're hot right now, but let's see how they close the season. They still have to play the Knicks, Grizzlies, Nuggets, Celtics, Thunder x2, Bucks, Warriors, Mavs, Rockets x2, etc. They shot 20 more free throws than the T-Wolves last night and only won by 9 points.

They better they’re looking like the favorites right now and would be my pick to win it

Would be a huge stain on LeKING’s legacy if he couldn’t win a title with this loaded team

Lakers will make the second or third round. They'll ruin some contender's season, but I don't think they are consistent enough.

Dangerous underdog, though.

Sure. They need some injury luck. If everyone is healthy no one beats Boston.
