Military Bros & Gals, How Did Milley Get All Those Medals With No Tours Or Combat?

I often hear that he never served a tour of combat. Is this true? I read his bio on Wikipedia and it mentions no combat tours, missions. It seems he never left the country except to go to South Korea for two years in the 90s. No mention of Panama, Somalia, Yugoslavia, Iraq, Iraq 2, Afghanistan, Syria, Philippines, Europe, Africa, nothing.
We’ve fought a lot of war and done a lot of combat over the past 40 years, the length of his career. Did he miss all of it? Is that unusual? And how did he get 8 rows of medals? Is that unusual?

A lot of time you get medals for being in the rear providing support for people overseas just the same as if you were over there.

I was wondering this too. I checked his page about a week ago, but it was extremely long… and he is not worth a 30+ minute read. And in my cursory view I wondered the same. Still, I figured he would have had to do more than Korea in the 90s to get that far (not denigrating service in Korea, but to be the top guy, surely he would have done more than that). I did not think about this again until you mentioned it

Probably playing Call of Duty. Last administration really was a joke.

If you connect the video feed so the brass can watch a live drone strike you are credited with participating in the mission.
I'm sure the general gets his credits too.

Those types are groomed and pushed forward for some long term plan. That plan is usually not for the better. That’s why those types are labeled TV generals. Acting

Can’t stand the guy but that would be insane for him to climb the ladder with not much oversea time.
I found this on his official bio page

He has a Combat Infantry Badge with a star meaning two awards. Not all CIBs are awarded equally by he was near enough to combat at some point.

They're all distinguished service and unit awards... officers get chest candy for learning to wipe front to back.

He actually was in Iraq, 2004. Saw him in sector with my Battalion Commander. He was COL Milley then.

Awards and decorations
Only things of interest are his Combat Infantryman Badge (2nd award), Special Forces Tab, Ranger Tab, Master Parachutist Badge and Special Operations Diver Badge. No awards for valor. All for service.
Meh.
Would like to know what duty assignments he was in when he earned the Combat Infantryman Badge (twice - two separate conflicts).

He has a CIB, combat infantryman's badge. I'm not saying some of those aren't fudged from time to time, but you don't just award it to yourself.

That was when Trump was trusting people who rooted for his failure and did everything to cause it.
You think you are knocking Trump - you are knocking them.
Notice he is not trusting those people this time.
