Why is this board pro-Russia and Putin all of a sudden?

Russia occupied and annexed Crimea in 2014 after it was a part of both the Ukranian SSR and independent Ukraine since 1954, and then it was Russia that crossed borders and invaded on February 24th of 2022, quickly making it all the way to Kyiv.
They're clearly the aggressor in Ukraine for the last decade+, and have largely been an adversary of the United States, especially in the last several decades, not an ally.
What am I missing?

I'd like them both to lose. Zelensky is a dictator and a thief. Putin is a murderer and a thug.... it's ok to hate both of them.

I can fully understand not wanting our tax dollars to prop up Ukraine, but having the horde of Putin ball-garglers in here is a little strange.

We don't give a shite about either one. It's a regional conflict that doesn't involve us on the other side of the planet, except one side - Ukraine - is bilking US taxpayers of hundreds of billions for a war they can never win. You're perceiving dislike of Ukraine with support of Russia when we really we don't care.
If Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan went to war tomorrow and we started sending hundreds of billions to Turkmenistan for no reason, we'd start to get annoyed at them too.
By the way, Russia is neither an ally or an enemy. They just exist as well and do their own thing.

We have explained this to you fools over and over and over. How about go back and read our post-history* about WHY we aren't "pro-russia" and are more understanding of a country whose land has been encroached on for many many decades. Putin (and his predecessors) have been diplomatic and patient for AGES while NATO stole more and more and more land.
Eventually, you fight back. Russia has done that.
Also, we like the Russian PEOPLE. We don't like ANY governments. We like the people's culture and overall sentimentality. Their resiliency. Etc.
