Taking Bagram back?

Lawrence Jones from Fox News just asked President Trump if we were going to take Bagram back. He didn’t say yes or no, but it sounds like it just doesn’t set well with him that we gave it up so easily after so many American lives were lost in the shite hole country. Especially since it’s only an hour away from China’s largest nuclear weapons plant. I’m betting we take it back and a shot won’t be fired by doing so. What say y’all?

This seems like a terrible idea.

I’m as salty about it as anybody, but cut your losses.
ETA: But I’m fine with letting them sweat it.

If we don't take it back, we should destroy it in my opinion.

There is a large presumption withing the US Military that we will be back in Afghanistan within 5 yrs. That has been an ongoing sentiment for a while now.

Take it back and bring back the equipment that FJB left, then turn the country to glass

I think we should bomb their parliamentary building while they're in session and then just ignore them forever. Spiteful, yes, but don't frick with the USA.

I'm sure it has been stored and maintained properly, and has not been sold/distributed to terrorist proxy groups all over Asia. For sure.

Ya'll must have missed the part where he said that the air base is 1 hour from China's nuke factory.

Do you have some recommended reading on this?

It was just as a terrible idea to just give it up completely

I literally haven't heard one single person say this.

Well, currently our defense budget is larger than each of these countries:
Russia,
China,
Germany,
UK,
India,
Saudi Arabia,
France,
Japan,
South Korea,
Italy,
Israel,
Ukraine,
Poland
It is also larger than all of those countries combined, so I see no reason NOT to print more money and spend it on retaking Bagram. Let's print a little more, and grab the Caribbean while we are at it.

If you’re a podcaster…listen to Sarah Adams on the Shawn Ryan show…she spells out what’s going on in Afghanistan again.

There is absolutely nothing to be gained by having boots in Afghanistan. Why would we possibly go back?

It was Trump's peace deal with Afghanistan that Biden implemented.
Agreement for Bringing Peace to Afghanistan between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan which is not recognized by the United States as a state and is known as the Taliban and the United States of America February 29, 2020
The United States is committed to withdraw from Afghanistan all military forces of the United States,
its allies, and Coalition partners, including all non-diplomatic civilian personnel, private security
contractors, trainers, advisors, and supporting services personnel within fourteen (14) months following
announcement of this agreement, and will take the following measures in this regard:
A. The United States, its allies, and the Coalition will take the following measures in the first one
hundred thirty-five (135) days:
1) They will reduce the number of U.S. forces in Afghanistan to eight thousand six hundred
(8,600) and proportionally bring reduction in the number of its allies and Coalition
forces.
2) The United States, its allies, and the Coalition will withdraw all their forces from five
(5) military bases.
B. With the commitment and action on the obligations of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan which
is not recognized by the United States as a state and is known as the Taliban in Part Two of this
agreement, the United States, its allies, and the Coalition will execute the following:
1) The United States, its allies, and the Coalition will complete withdrawal of all remaining
forces from Afghanistan within the remaining nine and a half (9.5) months.
2) The United States, its allies, and the Coalition will withdraw all their forces from
remaining bases.

If he didn't want to give up Bagram, maybe he shouldn't have given up Bagram.
ETA: Wow, people just downvoting the actual peace deal that Trump negotiated with the Taliban just because they don't want to believe it. lol
Yes, it was your orange god that gave that base away. You can't blame it on the usual suspects, sorry. Hate all you want.
