I think it had value at a time when Journalists had a code of honesty and integrity.

The White House Correspondents Association believes in an independent press... So they've created a mechanism where they gate-keep and limit access to anyone who doesn't meet their requirements and share their viewpoint. Very independent indeed.

They claim we have a right to access. They don’t divulge on that claim nor mention that other people can provide that access. Apparently, when you’re a self-appointed gatekeeper you get to make up your own rules.
