I’m hearing new grad job market is hell. For those who are recent grads (1-3 years), what’s going on with them?
My cousin has a degree from a respectable college but working as manager of Uniqlo.

Yeah, but what's his degree?

Engineering degree and can't find a job? Where is he? Might have to be willing to move.

He's doing something wrong then. This is not a field without a demand

Sad that Mexican jobs are hiring but American ones aren’t

She, lives in a mid tier city. I was surprised too but she’s sending apps and have good grades but it’s just competitive

Baby cousin graduated with a comp science degree from ULL a year ago. He has an IT help desk job at a hospital. Has applied to hundreds of jobs and has gotten one interview that seemed interested. I told he may have to ride it out with the help desk job for another year or two. If that doesn't work, he might start looking at some other areas. He's open to moving, has applied to positions across the country.

Having a degree doesn’t automatically get you a job.
It may take a little while to find what he is looking for.
He needs to just keep working and stay applying. It will happen

Yep, that's where construction firms set up shop to woo big arse projects. Any smaller than San Antonio, she's probably up a creek.

Should be opportunities around for that. I'm in building construction and I see the posts looking for civil engineers.

My son graduated in December from LSU in civil engineering. he worked as an intern at a local firm in BR during school. When he graduated, he moved straight into a full-time engineer position. He bought a new starter house in January and got married in October. He states things are a little tight, but he's the type that will work his arse off to make it work.

You want a job before you graduate college, go be a teacher or a nurse. There is always a market!

This is how it is for the vast majority of careers. Kids today think getting out of college means you don't do entry work. bullshite. If you go to college for a career that requires that education, then you are doing so to gain the access to that entry level position. You pay your dues and work your arse off to eventually get the good pay.
