Unfortunately, I'm out of dry powder.
I always buy too early.

Correction territory for SPY is around 550.
This could be just the beginning.
Hard to say, but fear feels strong.

learn to short or just buy this ETF when you feel a dip

My 90 day has ticked negative for the first time in many, many months. Which is impressive since I just hit an all-time high 2 weeks ago.

I have some powder though, time to buy I guess.

also, i'd treat your BITO investments as if you were trading a real futures contract. or swing trading a volatile stock. it is not one of those buy and forget it type dividend ETF's.

I was caught with nothing on the side when this started. It will take me months to recover from this mega-correction

my mistake was not throwing the kitchen sink at VOO after it bottomed out in 2020 COVID.

I just started dabbling with covered calls last week. Too bad I didn't sell more than a couple contracts to try it out.

Logged in today to see the bloodbath, i'm up huge in the last 7 days. Flight to safety i guess. Tech is overvalued, i'm still staying out.

I have a brokerage that I have been saving for a very specific use. I am at a point I'm ready to use my brokerage so I sold off 90% of my investment last Friday morning and I'm super glad I did. It is 100% luck that I timed it right and wouldn't have intentionally done that. But now that everything has come down a bit, I went ahead and bought back in on some of it.

Funny/unfunny story: I use Fidelity's Active Trader to manage my 401k stocks. This morning I fired it up and literally everything in my account + my watch list was green. Big numbers. But I noticed the value of my holdings was going down. Thinking that was something buggy, because "of course the market would rebound today" (lol) I closed & re-opened the app and quickly realized, oh - it wasn't a calculation bug, the green simply should have been red.

I went from +110k YTD to negative over the last 4 days.

Heavy SOFI.

Can't bring myself to buy the dip.
