Apple said Monday it will invest $500 billion on expanding US facilities over the next four years, a move that could help it avoid new tariffs on goods imported from China.

Apple said the investment will create 20,000 jobs.

Good.

They also do the best job protecting your information.

They might have some room to run as they have stayed so balanced during all this bullshite.

Great company.

Not so fast. They just removed end to end encryption in iMessage and iCloud in the UK in response to government demands to be able to access user data.

Double edged sword. Yea nobody can get in for you info. Also nobody can get in to see what they have running or collecting in the background.

Let's see if they follow through. When the CHIPS Act was past, companies said they were all-in and then backed out.

It’s not controversial to say Europe has pretty bad speech laws and a EU member state, Romania, recently cancelled the results of a free election because they didn’t like the candidate who won.

Can you please clarify your statement that america is closer to 1984 dystopia than Europe? Thanks in advance

Europe is essentially China with the US as an ally.

I am always curious about the follow up and actual implementation of these pledges. It feels like companies always make these announcements and then up doing a fraction of what was announced three years later.

Heckler was removed from a town hall, next up Gas Chambers.

You're so brave for sharing this with us.

She admitted to being a nuisance during the hearing. She was removed not arrested. People in Germany and the UK are being imprisoned for memes. Are they doing that in Idaho?

Like Microsoft and Google had this protection in the first place? It's encrypted to such a degree even Apple can't access it. And what are they supposed to do? They have no choice but to comply with a government demand.

By private security and was condemned by the police chief.

Not to mention, she wasn’t arrested, imprisoned, or even fined.

Very 1984.

While in Europe, the police raid the homes of people who post opinions that criticize elected officials.
