Folks on Ozempic who claim weight loss from other factors

I know 2 people on Ozempic (probably more, but only 2 admitted it). Both of them claim it is mostly their new exercise regimen and alcohol abstinence led to their 40 lb weight loss.

Cutting drinking and adding exercise are wonderful, but it seemed odd to not give credit to the drug. I mean maybe they lost 5 lbs from the exercise and alcohol cessation

Wondering if anyone else has noticed this from Ozempic/Mounjaro users

I can accept dishonesty from people if they're not fat.

Me nodding off during the day is because I stay up late every night and not because I'm addicted to heroin.

Good they lost weight either way. But yeah doesn’t make a lot of sense with that logic.

Eat less. Move more.

I'll say this.

There is a type of person that seems to have lost its sense of superiority because others are losing weight via a drug as compared to the old fashioned way of exercise and discipline.

I find it strange. But, it's as if they feel like their personal value is being lifted from them.

I've had people ask me if I am on it the past few months due to losing a bunch of weight. I actually put myself on the slow carb diet and have lost around 100 pounds in the past year.

When people ask if I am doing the shot I just tell them a. im too cheap to pay for the shots and b. im too chicken shite to give myself a shot.

My sister is on one of the shots and pays about 1k a month for them and still drinks a bottle of wine a night with chocolates and other shite to eat. But she can't figure out how she doesn't lose weight.

Just know the people scamming the system to get it paid by insurance are causing everyone’s rates to go up

Eat smaller portions no snacking no beer no Coke's. I lost 100lbs no weight loss drugs. Walk 30 min a day. It works!

People like to think their effort got them to where they are. Let them think it.

It's probably multiple things, but why do you care? This is frustrating me to no end, we yell about fatties but now bitch about people taking meds to get skinny. I don't give a frick what someone does to lose weight.

Doesn’t Ozempic want make you eat less and drink less alcohol?

That is such a slippery slope. I pay for lung cancer victims because they smoked, heart surgeries for fatties, removal of feet for diabetes patients that don't take shite seriously, why is this different?

I'm all for changing the health care system to something more reasonable, but under the current rules I would rather drop the cash now as preventative care (losing weight should fall into that category) than all the complications that come later for being a fatty.

Your sample size of two people isn’t great to make sweeping generalizations. Weight loss can absolutely be multi factorial. I haven’t met anyone who has taken Ozempic or any of the other weight loss medications that haven’t claimed it was a huge factor in being the catalyst that started their weight loss.
