I have probably 3 of the 5 gallon cans of gas. I live in a neighborhood so I can't start a bonfire. What is the best way to get rid of it. The one I'm really worried about is the 5 gallons I have in my boat that I haven't used since June of 2024

Put some Stabl in it and use it in your vehicle.

I need an answer for this too lol

I have 70gal sitting in a boat tank from 4-5 years ago that I need to get rid of. And I don’t trust it to run in truck and it would take forever to burn off in lawn equipment.

Put some fuel cleaner and mix it with half a tank new gas and it will run fine in a truck

if you have an aluminum tank in your boat, be very careful about water condensate. It will f--k up outboard/truck really bad. Reuse should be limited to brush burning

It’s a poly tank. On a boat I’m rebuilding for someone that sat for 4-5 years. I would just rather get rid of
/trash the old gas, just can’t find an easy way to do it

Most towns have a hazardous waste day where you can take thinks like old paint and old has to. Check out the date for your town since you said you live in a subdivision. 5 yr old gas is not reusable except on fire ants.

Give it to a friend or family member not in a neighborhood to use as ant killer. Or fence line herbicide

The solution is dilution

Mix one gallon of old gas with 5 gallons of new gas and burn it off

Put it on Facebook Marketplace "Three Free Gas Cans at 123 Higgy Street" set them on the curb, and be done with it.

Wait for a hot June day when its mid 90s and the suns been beating on down all day. Pour the gas directly on the concrete and it will dissipate in 2 minutes.

Make sure you smoke a cigar on your victory... Film it.

I'm willing to pick it up and burn it in the F150. I'll commute to work that week for free

This is how it used to be done!

I don’t know what to recommend on disposal..

But don’t pour it in #2 washtub that is old and decrepit and light it.

It will leak and start running out the side.

I put it in my truck. It holds 48 gallons of gas so a couple of gallons added at a time to a near full tank doesn't make a big difference. Have been doing it for years, has never been an issue....

Nah. I’m by no means a tree hugger but I’m not gonna go dump 60 gallons of gas in a ditch

It’s not going to hurt anything, it’s old gas.
