In offseason
He would be a great piece for a team where he doesn’t have to be the star

It’s interesting cause on one hand I don’t give a frick what Zion wants and the other hand I still don’t give a frick about what Zion wants.

He has 3 years left on his contract and 0 chance he resigns. We might as well trade him in the next year to prevent another BI situation.

For what?!Let him (fingers crossed) play 20-30 games next year and trade him while he's "healthy"

There are over 20 games left in this season and he's "healthy" now. He should be able to reclaim whatever value he can, especially with carte blanc to play when he wants and how he wants. He should put up great numbers.

We should be resetting/rebuilding this summer. Honestly every player should be on the table to move. I would think guys like Missi, Murray (injured) and Murphy would be mostly off limits, barring some huge return. But nobody else is untouchable. I'm ready for some major moves and a whole new direction..

Every fan THINKS they want to rebuild. Very few fans actually can handle a rebuild. Everyone will be crying about losing as soon as they lose, exactly how this season is going where it’s a reset type year and everyone is still bitching that we are not in the playoff hunt.

Same thing is going on in the Saints boards, everyone is calling for the team to rebuild, but very of them fans can handle a rebuild. 90% of them will be crying the second they lose two games in a row.

Zion's problem is he's unreliable because of injuries, but he's absolutely the person you want to build the offense around if you can get him on the court. He breaks defenses as much or maybe more than Steph Curry.

They're not rebuilding. They've already said as much. They have been gathering Data the last two weeks by playing Zion at the 3. And why would they even do that? In case they get lucky and land a player like Flagg.

They'll retool and will build their hype and optimism on the next guy in the draft.

Exactly my point. We have 4889907 games missed due to injury this year, we’re not going to win many games.

If fans can’t handle a reset year or bye year whatever you want to call it, they cannot handle a rebuild. You would have the same exact bitching on this board now.

Did they really just shoe-horn Zion into that stat? Only took him 6 years.

And we'll be a play-in team until Zion forces his way out by trade request or Uber Eats.

When he’s playing up to his potential not even you can deny how effective he is. His problem is he’s not committed to being great so he isn’t.

It also doesn't matter how efficient he is if he's playing <30 mpg.

No you play him next year and let him get his value up and then decide if you trade him. If the team is playing good then you keep him and try to extend him.

If we were lucky enough to get Flagg then he would play the 3 and Zion still at the 4. That forces Herb to the bench though. We will be picking 5-7 instead of top 5 though with our luck. There’s a lot of good players in this draft though.

We have been saying this for like 5 years. It's the same thing over and over. Why would we keep this cycle going?

Flagg is a good problem.

It truly allows you to move on from zion if and when that'll occur.
