A. They forget about all the soldiers & fed employees who were fired for refusing the covid Vax.

B. Everyone else in the private sector worries about getting fired all the time. It’s nothing new to us. My arse hole clinches every year during our budget review

I feel sorry for anyone losing a job. I don’t feel bad for the federal government having layoffs though.

Who was telling you to feel sorry for them? I'm super excited the fat is getting trimmed. I'm old enough to remember the days when public service was low pay but at least the retirement was good. Now we have assholes getting better pay than I am and WITH amazing retirement benefits and thinking that they are going to be doing better in the private sector. Clown world!

It’s interesting that when faced with the reality that some people have less stress than us, our knee jerk reaction is to want to bring everyone down to our levels instead or wondering how we can have better situations at work.

I don’t necessarily feel “sorry”, but I still feel a little compassion for anyone losing their livelihood.

Dems celebrate when blue collar men lose their jobs. I don’t want to be like them.

Its not that it’s my knee jerk reaction to want to bring others down.

78 million voted for a smaller fed government. It was never going to be pretty

The more they complain the better case it makes for Trump.

These entitled bureaucrats STILL don't get it!

Problem with your line of reasoning is that “Job security” is not compatible with an economy based on changing consumer tastes and wants.

The labor supply being flexible is vital to any dynamic economy. Otherwise you get stagnation.

“Creative destruction” is a concept I suggest you research further

I see what you are saying. I still want my tax dollars to be spent on something more valuable

The medicine may be painful but the patient requires it.

Firing government employees and shrinking the government is the best way to grow the overall economy.

No, I feel sorry for my kids and future grandkids because we were too chickenshit to deal with this sooner and our cowardice will now be their problem.

This assumes humans aren’t capable of adapting and evolving unless they are behaving as consumers.

No one does their exact same job the exact same way for their entire tenure at a job.

Aren’t these people receiving a nice severance package? If they accepted the voluntary termination agreement they will get 6 months pay, correct?

Congress has not appropriated any money for any sort of severance. They’re about to be screwed.

Accept your fellow “ civilians” don’t hv a job any more.

Fix the system to get rid of bad federal employees that is the answer( that includes the worthless city and state employees ( not all), but agree places like tHE iRS need to downsize! Main issues is USAID and other entities we don’t even know about who are stealing millions of tax payers monies and getting kickbacks.

I never like seeing people lose their jobs even when it’s needed. I feel sorry for anyone who has to go through a job loss. That doesn’t mean we don’t need to shrink government.

I feel I bring an interesting perspective to this.

I worked in DC for 4 years.

Have worked at local, State and Federal levels. Even as gov't contractor.

Those folks are the most entitled employees pound for pound on the planet.

There isn't anyone more condescending and full of themselves like a DC bureaucrat. I've seen it with DOE and CMS.

They need a good reality check.
